Our Why

The Temple Within exists to ensure all people — regardless of financial means, current circumstances, or prior experience — can access the care, healing, transformation, and continued support they need to create meaningful change in their lives.

Who We Help

The cost of hands-on healing work puts it out of reach for most people's budgets. The Temple Within exists to provide care, healing, therapy, support, and community to anyone who could benefit, including:

  • Those navigating trauma, grief, a major life transition, addiction, or a similar crisis.

  • Those who feel generally stuck, unhappy, or discontent in life.

  • Those looking to feel inspired and reconnected to themselves and their creative spirit.

  • Individuals and couples doing relational work.

  • Families looking to improve how they communicate and heal together.

  • Organizations and teams seeking to work and create together in harmony.

Our Mission

The Temple Within supports everyone in achieving wholeness of mind, body, and soul. We provide transformational healing (such as somatic and psycho-spiritual therapy, tantric healing, and embodied presence) to all, regardless of financial means, background, or experience. We increase access through immersive retreats, facilitator-led programming, community offerings, scholarships, and educational partnerships.

Our Vision

Making Space For More People To Heal

The Temple Within exists to allow alternative healers (eg. breathwork facilitators, yoga teachers, somatic practitioners, bodyworkers, sound healers, energy workers, ritual leaders, and tantric facilitators) to offer sliding-scale pricing and scholarships for their work. This spans everything from individual therapeutic sessions to participation in large community gatherings.

These healing modalities often fall outside what insurance will cover, and they typically require facilitators with far more lived experience and expensive training than a conventional degree demands. The practitioners who hold this work are often not supported in the way that more licensed, mainstream healers are, and even as interest in these modalities has grown, access to them hasn't grown with it. The Temple Within exists to close that gap by creating a fund that lets people access this work regardless of their financial means, background, or prior experience.

    I was beyond lost. I found my map. M&E showed it to me. As you are invited into this HOME—their home—which is now yours for the duration of your stay! Filled with Love, Music, LOVE, and these two women who you are about to put your life into their hands. Scary for all of thirty minutes. You are home! You are welcome! Into their home...And that right there makes you feel loved, safe, welcome, and free.

    M&E are so in tune with their practice..and they have seen more in their own lives than most people read about. Their own lives are enough to make you love and believe what they practice. They are guides...that is what they do! And they do it better than anyone I have ever met! It did not just change me; it brought me back to the person I was over 20 years ago. I actually liked myself then. They teach along your journey. They provide you with tools when you leave. It is not just one and done with these women, They support you long after you are gone.

Our Story

How This Came To Be

After decades in this work, our long-term clients kept naming the same thing: this work is expensive and it mostly benefits people who already have the time and money to access it. And after people receive the healing and transformation this work offers, they usually want to find a way to give back.

The Temple Within was formed by people who've received the benefit of this work and wanted to create a way for those who can’t afford the work to have their lives changed by it too, without negatively impacting the livelihoods of the practitioners who make it possible.
